The all-new and eagerly-awaited 2024 Toyota Tacoma enters production later this year. Even though you can't get your hands on the truck yet, you can already order an awesome truck camper for it. Montana-based GoFastCampers — makers of this cool Ford Maverick camper — announced they are already accepting orders on its GFC Platform Camper for the 2024 Tacoma.
Here's what you need to know about it.
The GFC Platform Camper is low-profile and lightweight
The Toyota Tacoma's driving dynamics should be dramatically improved for 2024. And GFC's Platform Topper should allow owners to still take advantage of that. The camper only adds 6.78 inches of height to the Tacoma while providing standing room with a pop-top and a 50x90-inch sleeping area. Short-bed and long-bed versions of the camper only weigh 266 pounds and 278 pounds, respectively. The camper also has a 500-pound dynamic roof load capacity for porting additional gear.
Which Tacomas does the GFC Platform Camper work with?
All of them. GFC says the camper fits with any 2024 Tacoma, including the TRD Pro and new Trailhunter trim models. GFC offers versions that fit both five-foot and six-foot bed lengths.
How much does the GFC Platform Camper for the Tacoma cost?
GFC says the Platform Camper will start at $7,700. Options and delivery locations can push the price past $10,000.
When can you get the GFC Platform Camper for your Tacoma?
GFC is taking orders for its Platform Camper now. An order reserves you a build slot, which typically requires a 10-12 week lead time. Installation can occur at GFC's Montana headquarters or eight nationwide locations.
